Give a little away and you stand steadier.
Sun is lake under mountain — the water rises as vapor, becomes cloud, becomes rain, falls back on the mountain. Its decrease is not loss but circulation. All growth passes through a season of giving down: you hand time, energy, money, face to something larger than yourself, and something grows in you along the way. Sun's wisdom: empty yourself a little first.
A line: three walking together lose one — of three, one must be subtracted. No one is wrong; the structure cannot hold. Reduced to two, a pair forms; reduced to one, the like-minded can be met. Decrease is really a balancing.
